I write a lot about ProOrganic shampoo by Pura d’Or as it’s a product I sincerely believe in. It truly is a one of a kind shampoo. I’ve been using it for a while now and I look forward to my daily two minutes in the shower.

I used to dread washing my hair. I never knew what the outcome would be. Would it be dry and frizzy? Would clumps of my hair pile up in the drain? I tried countless products, each one promising another benefit that none actually lived up to. The ones that promised dandruff control left my hair feeling limp and dry. The ones that promised moisture left my hair oily. The ones promising anti frizz seemed to do just the opposite. I noticed over the years that my hair started becoming brittle and was falling out more than in the past.

I started reading ingredients more carefully and looked up the many I couldn’t comprehend. I really should not have been shocked at the chemical makeup of my hair care products but I was. The more I read the more I understood that this collection of substances strips hair of its natural protection. I realized I would have to find something that was actually nourishing to my hair if I wanted to hold on to it.

I tried a few different natural brands and gave them each a month long trial. The only shampoo that showed any sort of improvement was the ProOrganic by Pura d’Or. It took about three weeks for change to occur. First thing I noticed was less itching and flaking. Although it is now winter my hair feels less dry causing less frizz. There’s also less hair in the drain after every shower.

I am glad I gave ProOrganic a chance to work. The society we live in would very much like a pill to cure every woe. But as we are slowly learning, there is no such thing. Anything worth it’s while needs to be given time to prove itself.  The damage from years of using the wrong shampoo cannot be reversed overnight. But with just two minutes a day you can be well on your way to better hair. Take it from someone who’s been there.
